Aaron and his wife, Dora, were both born and raised on family farms in Southwest Missouri. They were high school sweethearts and married in 1998. After attending Missouri State in Springfield, Aaron joined the U.S. Army in 2001, and they moved to Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he served in 3rd Special Forces Group. They moved back to Missouri and began attending Freshwater in 2015. Aaron and Dora love doing ministry together, especially fellowshipping and discipling others who love their God, love their neighbors, and love to follow Jesus.
Aaron aspires to serve the Lord as a pastor after completing his retirement from the Army after 22 years. He considers it a great honor to serve as Freshwater’s first pastoral intern while he completes his degree in Ministry Leadership from Moody Bible Institute. He plans to begin pursuing his MDiv at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2024. His ministry philosophy and passion, from Hebrews 10, is to “stir up” others to persevere in the full assurance of their salvation in Jesus Christ.
Aaron and Dora have two sons, Dylan (2004) and Dustyn (2006), and one daughter, Amaryn (2015).
