Matt Sailor was born and raised in De Kalb, Missouri. He graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia and the University of Central Missouri. Matt serves as a civilian in the U.S. Army which has allowed him to work and serve in many different places, including Illinois, Iowa, South Dakota, Wyoming, and Missouri. Living in so many places has given Matt and his family the opportunity to witness how God’s church is everywhere and created in them a calling to minister to church newcomers and encourage believers to walk closer with the Lord.
Matt has been married for 17 years to his wife Janell, and has two amazing daughters, Ainsleigh and Hope. In his personal time Matt enjoys all things outdoors, especially hunting, and spending quality time outside with his family.
On November 6, 2022, Matt was installed as an elder of Freshwater Church. His favorite bible verse is 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord is not slow to fulfill his promise as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should reach repentance.”
